## Adding Inverters
### From Powerlily Database
1. **Equipment** → **Inverters** → **"Add from Powerlily List"**
2. Browse and select inverters
3. Customize as needed
### Creating Custom Inverters
1. **Equipment** → **Inverters** → **"New Inverter"**
2. Fill in specifications
3. Configure type (micro vs string)
4. Upload documentation
5. Save
## Basic Specifications
**Brand:** Select from brand list or enter custom
- Common: Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Fronius, Generac, APSystems
**Name:** Display name for quotes and catalog
- Example: "Enphase IQ8+ Microinverter"
**Model:** Manufacturer model number
- Example: "IQ8PLUS-72-2-US"
**Rated AC Power Output:** Continuous AC power in watts
- Microinverters: 250W-380W+
- String inverters residential: 3kW-11.4kW
- String inverters commercial: 20kW-100kW+
**Efficiency:** Peak efficiency percentage
- Typical: 96-98%
**Warranty:** Coverage length in years
- Standard: 10-25 years
**Value:** Your wholesale cost per inverter
- Microinverters: $100-$300
- String inverters: $800-$4,000+

**Description:** Rich text product information, key features, monitoring capabilities
## Inverter Type Configuration
### String Inverters
**Configuration:**
- Leave "Micro" toggle OFF
- One inverter per array (or multiple for large systems)
- Quantity adjustable in quotes
**Best for:** Unshaded roofs, simple layouts, cost-sensitive projects, commercial
### Microinverters
**Configuration:**
- Toggle "Micro" ON
- Set "Panels Serviced" (1-4)
- **1:1** - One micro per panel (maximum optimization, highest cost)
- **2:1** - Most common (Enphase IQ8+, IQ8M)
- **3:1** - Some commercial applications
- **4:1** - Largest ratios (some APSystems)
- Inverter quantity auto-calculated from panel count
**Example:** 24 panels with 2:1 micro = 12 microinverters
**Best for:** Shaded roofs, complex layouts, multiple orientations, premium systems
## String Inverter Electrical Specifications
*Only for string inverters - hidden for microinverters*
**Number of MPPTs:** Maximum Power Point Trackers (1-6)
- Each MPPT independently optimizes a string or group of strings
**Strings per MPPT:** String inputs per MPPT channel (1-4)
**Max DC Power:** Maximum total DC input power (W)
- Example: 11400W
**Max DC Power per MPPT:** Maximum DC power per MPPT channel (W)
- Example: 5700W
**Max Voc Input:** Maximum open-circuit voltage from DC input (V)
- Example: 480V
**Min Input Voltage:** Minimum DC voltage required to operate (V)
- Example: 380V
**Max MPPT Voltage:** Maximum voltage for MPPT operation (V)
**Min MPPT Voltage:** Minimum voltage for MPPT operation (V)
**Max Input Current:** Maximum DC input current per string (A)
**Max Short Circuit Current:** Maximum allowable short-circuit current (A)

## Visibility & Media
**Visible:** Toggle to show/hide from new quotes
- Disable for discontinued models or out of stock
- Existing quotes unaffected
**Draw Ready:** Automatic validation
- Requires: valid watts
**Images:** Upload multiple product photos (JPG, PNG, HEIC)
**Spec Sheet:** PDF datasheet for customers
**Additional Documents:** Installation manuals, warranties, certifications

## QR Codes
Auto-generated QR code for each inverter linking to its public equipment page
- Available as SVG or PNG
- Use on brochures, boxes, materials
## Management
**Editing:** Changes affect new quotes only; existing quotes unchanged
**Deleting:**
- Can delete: Unused inverters
- Cannot delete: Used in any quote
- Alternative: Set Visible = False
**Cloning:** Duplicate to create variants with different pricing or specs
## Best Practices
- Verify specifications from manufacturer datasheets
- For microinverters: toggle "Micro" ON and set correct "Panels Serviced"
- For string inverters: fill in electrical specs for proper string design
- Include spec sheets and product images
- Update pricing regularly
## Common Configurations
**Residential String System (6-8kW):**
- Single string inverter: 6000W-8000W
- 20-25 panels × 400W
- Example: SolarEdge SE7600H, 7600W, 20 panels = 8000W DC (1.05 DC/AC ratio)
**Residential Microinverter System:**
- Toggle Micro ON, 2 panels serviced
- 24 panels = 12 inverters
- Example: Enphase IQ8+, 300W AC, with 400W panels × 2
**Commercial String System:**
- Multiple large string inverters: 20kW-50kW each
- Example: SMA Sunny Tripower 50kW, 200× 400W panels = 80kW DC, 2 inverters
