# Events & Calendar
Schedule project events: site visits, installations, inspections, follow-ups, meetings.
## Creating Events
**From Project:** Open project → **Add Event** → Fill in type, title, date/time, duration, location, assigned team, notes.
**From Calendar:** Click date/time slot → Fill in details → Save.
## Event Types
Site Visit, Installation, Inspection, Meeting, Follow-up. Customize types for your workflow.
## Calendar Views
**Month:** Overview with color-coded events.
**Week:** Hourly time slots with drag & drop rescheduling.
**Day:** Hour-by-hour detail with travel time.
**List:** Chronological list, searchable/filterable, export to CSV.
## Team Calendar
View each team member's schedule side-by-side. Assign events with primary and backup personnel. Automatic notifications sent.
## Event Management
**Edit:** Click event → Edit fields → Save. Attendees notified.
**Reschedule:** Drag & drop to new time or edit date/time field. Notifications sent automatically.
**Cancel:** Open event → **Cancel Event** → Enter reason. Marked canceled, not deleted.
## Notifications
Automatic email reminders (24 hours, 1 hour, at event time, or custom). In-app notifications with badge counts. Optional SMS reminders.
## Project Integration
All events visible on project timeline. Workflow automation: moving to "Install Scheduled" can auto-create install event. Events appear in project activity feed.
## Customer Visibility
Share events with customers via Client Portal. Hide internal events. Send calendar invites (.ICS, Google Calendar, Outlook).
## Recurring Events
Set up daily, weekly, monthly, or annual recurrence. Edit single occurrence or entire series. End after X occurrences or on date.
## Best Practices
Add buffer time (15-30 min) between events. Confirm customer appointments 24-48 hours before. Document pre-event (access, instructions) and post-event (outcomes, photos). Review day's events each morning.
## Analytics
Track events by type, per team member, completion rates, and rescheduling frequency. View on-time rates and project timelines.
